We would like to inform you that today, April 15th, 2024, the Asuka-Fujiwara World Heritage Inscription Promotion Council, chaired by Prefectural Governor Makoto Yamashita, has submitted a draft nomination dossier to the Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japan regarding the ‘Archaeological sites of Asuka-Fujiwara palaces and associated sites’—the birthplace of the Japanese nation—in order to obtain domestic nomination in FY 2024.
